Website Accessibility Statement

Effective Date:

Cebu Pacific Foundation, Inc. (“Foundation”) is committed to making its website accessible and usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including persons with disabilities and people who use assistive technologies.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process. We aim to make our website clear, understandable, and usable across different devices, browsers, technologies, and ways of accessing information.

Our Accessibility Target

We use theWeb Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our accessibility target.

WCAG is an internationally recognized set of guidelines for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. It covers areas including visual, auditory, physical, speech, and cognitive accessibility.

Our use of WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a target does not mean that every page or document will always fully conform to every applicable success criterion. Accessibility depends not only on website design and development but also on the content and documents published on the site.

We will work to identify and address accessibility barriers as they are identified.

Our Website

The Foundation website is a primarily informational website. It does not provide user accounts, payment, or other complex interactive services.

Because of its relatively simple structure, the website has limited interactive functionality. Nevertheless, we aim to ensure that its information and navigation can be accessed by people using different devices and assistive technologies.

Our accessibility practices include, as applicable:

  • Using clear and meaningful headings and page structure;
  • Using descriptive link text;
  • Providing alternative text for meaningful images;
  • Avoiding unnecessary use of images to convey essential information;
  • Maintaining appropriate colour contrast between text and backgrounds;
  • Supporting keyboard access to website navigation and links;
  • Using readable and understandable language;
  • Designing pages to remain usable on different screen sizes;
  • Providing captions or transcripts for video or audio content where appropriate; and
  • Considering accessibility when preparing or publishing downloadable documents.

Images, Videos, and Documents

We aim to provide meaningful alternative text for images that convey information and to identify decorative images appropriately.

Where the Foundation publishes videos or other multimedia content, we aim to provide captions, transcripts, or other appropriate alternatives, where reasonably practicable.

We also recognize that some older or externally produced documents may not have been created with accessibility in mind. Where an accessible version is not available, users may contact us to request the information in an alternative format.

Third-Party Content

Some content linked to or displayed through the Foundation website may be provided by third parties or may direct users to external websites.

The Foundation does not control the accessibility of third-party websites, platforms, documents, or services. We cannot guarantee that external content will meet the same accessibility standards as the Foundation website.

We will, however, seek to use accessible third-party resources where reasonably practicable.

Known Limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and there may be pages, documents, images, multimedia materials, or other content that do not fully meet our accessibility target. Unless expressly stated otherwise, this statement should not be interpreted as a claim of independent accessibility certification or full conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, we would appreciate the opportunity to address it.

Feedback and Alternative Formats

If you experience difficulty accessing information on our website, or if you require information published on the website in an alternative format, please contact us.

Please provide, where possible:

  • The webpage or document you were trying to access;
  • A description of the accessibility barrier you encountered; and
  • The format or assistance that would help you access the information.

We will consider reasonable requests and seek to provide an appropriate alternative where practicable.

Continuous Improvement

We will review this Accessibility Statement periodically and update it as our website, content, technology, and accessibility practices develop.

We welcome feedback from users because it helps us identify barriers that may not be apparent through our own review.
